About me

Born in São Paulo in 1980, I started my career as a prodigious illustrator, which led me to Advertising and then to Graphic Design, particularly in the editorial market. The rise of rich websites and native apps in the 2000s propelled my career forward, establishing me as an early pioneer in Interaction Design and User Experience in Brazil.

I have a passion for transformation and thrive on the challenge of being creative at the intersection of design, technology, and problem-solving. My expertise includes managing workflows, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, and leveraging the latest design frameworks and technologies to create compelling, futuristic, and innovative solutions.

With a solid understanding of the technical aspects of web and native mobile application development, along with a strong background in visual design and a pragmatic drive, I am confident in taking on projects of any size and nature.

My work has been recognized by renowned entities such as Apple, Evernote, Mashable, The New York Times, Leo Laporte, Macworld, Globo.com, MacBreak Weekly, TUAW, Startupi, and more. Among my accolades, my most notable creation, Blogo, was featured as “Best of 2016” by Apple.

In my role as Design Director at Checkplant, I spearheaded the creation of a strong design culture, unifying our mobile and desktop design systems into a cohesive, modern visual language. I implemented a more collective way of working, fostering collaboration and team synergy. As Head of Product Design (following a great season in the role of Creative Lead) for Descomplica - one of the world’s biggest ed-tech companies and one of the top 5 innovators in Latin America. I led the redesign of all the workflow processes for remote work and delivered wonderful products, including new versions of Gabarito Enem - with over a million users and record leads. I also played a key role in launching the Faculdade Descomplica app and the college platform, participating in the rebrand and design system overhaul.

As a Senior Design Specialist at AMMO, the digital division of Coteminas—the largest textile group in the Americas. In less than 2 years, our results excelled, reaching 8x YoY in key sales seasons like Black Friday. A redesigned checkout process boosted revenue by 5% and increased NPS by 18%. We also delivered a solid and versatile Design System.

In 2014, I brought back Blogo, Brainjuice’s most successful product - this time with investors and a whole new structure. It was an immediate success, and I had the opportunity to work closely with Apple on development. Blogo delivered excepcional experience across all versions (iPhone, iPad, and Mac) and was highlighted as Best New App 2014 and one of the Best Apps of 2016 by Apple.

As an INCOMUM’s spin-off, I also founded Brainjuice - the first Apple agency of computer-specialized software houses in Brazil. We produced highly acclaimed and critically praised software, including Blogo, which was featured as a Staff Pick on the Apple website. Additionally, our game Arcade Hockey was big hit and the first iPhone game produced in Brazil to be available on the App Store.

In 2004, I co-founded INCOMUM Design & Concept, the first cross-media design agency in Brazil. We were pioneers in digital transformation, specializing in editorial design and sophisticated, complex websites. We assisted notable clients, both domestic and international, such as Coca-Cola, LG, Rede Globo, Petrobras, Editora Record, Rutgers University, and others for over eight years.
